EK is the easiest collection we do

Most of East Kilbride was planned around private parking, so unlike a Glasgow tenement collection we're usually rolling the car straight off your driveway with the truck on the road. That keeps the operational cost low, which is why we don't charge a fuel surcharge for G74 or G75 even though EK is twenty minutes from the yard. See our ATF process for the paperwork side.

How quickly can you get out to EK?

Same day if you call before 1pm. We're usually in EK twice a week anyway, so most slots are easy to fit. G74 and G75 are both 20–25 minutes from the yard depending on the M77 / A726 traffic.

I'm in a driveway in Stewartfield, will the truck fit?

Almost always. EK's a planned new town so the roads are wider than central Glasgow streets and the driveways are sized for two cars. The recovery truck takes about three car-lengths to manoeuvre, which any EK cul-de-sac handles fine.

Will you collect from a residents'-only parking street in EK town centre?

Yes, but tell us the street and we'll check if a permit's needed. Most of the residents' parking around the EK shopping centre is fine for short stays while we load up. The truck's marked, so wardens know we're working.

My car's been parked at College Milton for two years on private land, will you still take it?

Yes. As long as you can show us proof you own it (V5C, or driving licence plus the original sale receipt or a previous insurance certificate), we'll take it. Private-land long-stays are common in EK because of the older flats, we handle these regularly.

Do you cover Eaglesham and Jackton out the back of EK?

Yes, both. Eaglesham village is a 10-minute extra run past Newton Mearns and we don't charge extra for it. Jackton's even closer to the EK boundary so it's effectively the same trip.
