Car dismantlers across Scotland, done the right way
For insurers, fleet managers and councils
If you're disposing of vehicles in volume, write-offs, end-of-lease, fleet decommissions, abandoned-vehicle removals on behalf of a local authority — you need a contractor who can handle the paperwork as cleanly as the metal. We can. Every accepted vehicle follows the agreed treatment route, with disposal notes and DVLA paperwork handled in a way your team can audit.
Where we add value over a pure scrap operation:
- Single point of contact: one number, one inbox, one invoice cycle.
- Recovery handled in-house: our recovery trucks, not subcontracted.
- Auditable paperwork: disposal notes and partner paperwork kept together for review.
- Parts revenue share: for fleets in good condition, we can offer a return-share on parts recovered, not just a flat scrap rate.
The end-of-life process, properly
Every vehicle we take in goes through the same controlled sequence, there's a reason it's regulated:
- De-pollution. Fuel, oil, brake fluid, coolant, washer fluid, AC refrigerant, all need the right recovery or partner route. AC gas in particular is heavily regulated, so we confirm capability before accepting it.
- Battery removal. Lead-acid batteries go to specialist recyclers. EV high-voltage packs are a different process entirely. See our EV page.
- Hazardous components. Catalytic converters, airbag modules, seatbelt pretensioners, all treated as hazardous waste with their own disposal route.
- Parts recovery. Anything reusable goes into our breakers stock for sale to the trade and DIY market. See our Glasgow breakers yard.
- Metal recovery. The de-polluted shell goes to a licensed metal recovery facility for shredding and sorting.
- Documentation. Disposal route confirmed, DVLA steps explained, and any partner paperwork kept with the job.
Where we cover
Glasgow and the wider Central Belt is where most of our routine work happens, but for fleet contracts we cover from the Borders up to the Highlands. Recovery cost gets factored in at the point of contract, for one-off jobs north of the Highland line we'll quote honestly rather than pretend it's free.
